How can aadaptability aid a person in the goal of success?

How can aadaptability aid a person in the goal of success?
I have to write an essay about it. WHat should my 3 main reasons for my body paragraphs be? I have this so far.

If at first you don’t succeed, Try, Try, Try Again”, is the timeless creed that has been heard all throughout past generations, and will be continued to be spoken of in generations to come. But what is the true meaning of it? It refers to the characteristic of Resilience/Adaptability, which would aid any determined person in achieving the goal of success. With Resilience/Adaptability, a person has the power to learn from his mistakes. He can withstand any obstacle thrown at him, and he will surely become victorious.

What you have is good, but you want to expand from your ideas and show the bigger picture of adaptability. Success is one bi-product of determination, but how does this help a person in their everyday life or job?If you want to discuss this essay, you should find an example from a book or parable of how a man’s or woman’s determination allowed them to overcome an obstacle and how it helped them live fruitfully. Trying is keep on going even if you think you will fail or lose, just like a basketball team still playing even if they losing by a large margin until final seconds are gone. Hope this helps.

World of Warcraft?

Ok, new player here.

I have a level 13 Rogue Blood Elf character and I’m trying to make my way down to Tranquilium (forgive my spelling) in the Ghostlands.
Question: On the road that leads directly to there, can the “monsters” still attack me? I know in Eversong they’re usually limited to the woods and won’t attack if you keep your distance.

Further info: Female character, professions in Skinning & Leatherworking with secondairies in First Aid & Fishing.
Main weapons are a bow and two daggers.
No magical abilities other than Stealth (does that count?)
O_O Seriously?

Crap. What about within the city? Are there spooks in there that can attack you too?

Yes they will attack on both accounts but just take your time and you should be fine. Also check the local area for groups heading that way or wanting to go there

Air Filters For Allergies

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

With all the allergies to contend with both inside and outside, there is much to consider. There are many things that can contribute to the allergies a person may have. While there may not be very much that can be done for all those outdoor allergens, there is something that can be done for the inside—an air filter.

Using a good filter to help clean the air inside the home or office is a very good idea that will help to filter the allergens that seem to float around or hover. A filter may help to control these pesky allergens and the reasons for them. An air filter can help to eliminate the smoke that is from cigars, cigarettes or any other type of smoke. An air filter may help with the many allergies that can stir up asthma, but it is not a fix. Still, investing in a good air filter for the home is a good thing to do.

first aid for the usmle First Aid For The Usmle
Mentor me ! How do I prepare for USMLE Step1 effectively? Step-by-step guidelines plz ?

Anyone who has done the exam interested to be my mentor for USMLE STEP 1 prep?
I am an IMG at a caribbean med school and plan to undertake the exam coming Jan/Feb 2010.I have the mandated books :BRS, First AID, Kaplan ..but what I would HIGHLY appreciate is someone to be my mentor during my prep for the big exam. I am aiming to score 99
( or atleast 90+) and study help I can garner along the way will prove useful .
I will not be taking a lot of yr time …its just that I wanna ensure I am on-course during my study .
Any help/advise/strategy/book recommendations etc…will be highly appreciated !

Thanks folks !

Bless ya !

I may not be qualified enough to answer your question (as I am yet to give the test). I will be giving my test in about 4 months. All I can say is don’t refer too many books. That is the lesson I have learnt…the hard way!

Stick to kaplan for all the subjects, except Pathology. For Pathology, go through Goljan’s Rapid Review. That will really help you with your step 2 CK too. After 2 reads, u can also go through First Aid. If you are still fresh from medical school, these are the only books that you need. And the only Kaplan videos that you need to see at least once are those of Behavioral Science & perhaps….Medical Genetics. And if you can get hold of Goljan’s Audio Cds, it would be very helpful.

And the most important part of the preparation is subscribing to an online site – either USMLE world or Kaplan Q bank. You should do this after completing at least one read of all the books. Even though Kaplan Q bank has improved a lot, USMLE world is still the gold standard. Subscribe for 2 months or a minimum of at least one month. Then just before u give the test (before 15 days), take 1 or 2 forms of NBDE to see where u stand. NBDE accurately predicts ur final score. So, if u want, u can postpone the test.

Good Luck!

first aid kits/supplies
First aid kit supplies?

What are some essential supplies that I should include in a first aid kit?

I was in the pharmacy the other day and decided to buy a first aid kit while I waited for my prescription. The kits were pretty expensive so I just bought a bag and made one up myself with the same things the others had in them.
Mine contains:
Scissors
Paracetamol
Plasters (sticking plasters) of different sizes
A bandage and medical tape, safety pins
Antiseptic lotion and liquid
Cottonwool buds and balls
A sling
Saline solution
Baby wipes
Latex Gloves
Ibuprofen gel

I would also recommend a first aid book/instruction manual.
That is everything that was listed in the kits you could buy and a few extras that pharmacist suggested.

Soaps and Detergents Can Be Irritating to The Skin

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

These days, companies are adding so many things to the soaps and detergents in hopes of improving its products, such as soaps and detergents. Consumers will buy these products thinking each one will be better than another or better than previously. Yet, along with the improved or new products, comes new or combined ingredients. And, some people tend to have or develop allergies to those new or modified ingredients.

When using soap, while washing the hands, taking a shower and/or bath, the skin can start to become dry, while itching, tiny bumps pop up and there may some burning. How about washing clothes in a laundry detergent that is in the clothes. One could easily think the fabric is the problem, but instead it may be the detergent. Until the source is recognized, the problem will only worsen. Nobody likes to spend time scratching and rubbing the skin. This only irritates the skin more.

Rat First Aid

rat first aid Rat First Aid
My new rat is sneezing.?

I have two female rats and I got the first a while ago and she went through a sneezing stage when I first got her too. Then I recently got a new one and she is doing the same thing. I know it is not the bedding because my other one went through this and is fine with the bedding. Any suggestions? Any aids that can help this transition?

She does not sneeze nearly as often in the cage, maybe like one or twice a week not even noticable but outside the cage in my room or anywhere else she sneezes, I have only had her for two days. So I will see what happens.
See I bought her at the petco. And she lived with a lot of rats that produced an odor that was not well venelated. So I think she is adjusting to the clean air.
Thanks for answering, I do have OCD so it may be my hand washing. I think my old rat is used to it and this ones not. So I will post an update in a few days.
By the way. It is drinking and eating.

You’ve only had her two days, so she’s not used to you yet. Rats get stress sneezes when they are nervous or in a new area they are not used to, so when you take her out of her cage she probably is simply nervous. Rats feel more safe in their cage, so she probably isn’t as nervous there. If the sneezes are dry and she is not wheezing, gasping, making rattly sounds, or having discharge around her eyes and nose she probably is just fine. If you notice any of those symptoms or anything else out of the ordinary you should take her to the vet for an exam.

Good luck with your rats!
